Ragusa, compulsory destination for those who decide to visit the “Val di Noto” and to retrace the places popularized by the famous Tv series “The Inspector Montalbano”, will surely make your holiday unforgettable.

Ragusa is divided into two parts: the new upper part where you can visit the San Giovanni Battista’s Cathedral, make a lovely walk and stay to eat in one of the so many restaraunts which surround the Cathedral: the old part of Ragusa Ibla where is located the most relevant historical interest, in fact there are more than fifty churches, eighteen monuments designated Unesco World Heritage Sites and several palaces built by aristocrats.

In Ragusa Ibla you will able to walk along the Main Street which from the gardens will lead you to the majestic Duomo of San Giorgio, then keeping climbing up the stairs, you will get to the amazing dome of the Duomo cathedral viewing it from above; and from the District, only a few steps away, you will be able to enjoy the view of the whole town of Ragusa Ibla from above.

Touring Ragusa Ibla you may discover and lose yourself in several alleys, all located near to the Main Street, venturing into the heart of the town’s history.

If you like walking you can get to Ragusa Ibla on foot from the upper part of Ragusa, to enjoy beautiful sights and discover the old town gradually.
