The Sicilian south-western coast is characterised by a wide variety of beaches which may satisfy every need! When we talk about amazing beaches, everyone create in their own mind a different image: someone image large beaches with bars and that provides all the services needed; whereas others imagine a glimpse of unspoilt and natural beach; and also others who think about vast expanses of sand and cliffs where to do long walks or to have a chance to do snorkeling close to the cliffs… Well, the Sicilian south-western coast is adapted for everybody’s taste and staying in Marina di Ragusa or in Ragusa you’ll have the chance to visit them all.

Among the most beautiful beaches partly opened and partly well-equipped there are surely the long expanses of sand of Marina di Ragusa, Pozzallo, Sampieri and Punta Secca, situated in the province of Ragusa; moreover there are the heavenly beaches of San Lorenzo, Marzamemi, situated in the province of Siracusa.

The most natural and unspoilt are however: The Irminio River natural Preserve, the natural preserve of Cava Integrale di Randello, the Palo Bianco’s beach in Donnalucata, the little beach of Sampieri and La Fornace, all situated in the province of Ragusa. Instead, moving towards the province of Siracusa, you can’t miss The currents’ Isle, the natural preserve of Vendicari and the Plemmirio’s protected area.

For those who prefer sunbathe in a beautiful beach but even doing snorkeling, there are the Torre di Mezzo’s beach and the Cavadaliga’s beach in the province of Ragusa and the amazing Calamosche’s beach in the province of Siracusa.
